It all started back when I was a uni student in Sydney...
I wanted to surprise my dog with something special, so I put together a little box filled with his favourite toys and treats. When he opened it, he went absolutely nuts with joy — and that moment just stuck with me. 💛
A few weeks later, one of my mates saw the box and asked if I could make one for her Golden Retriever. As she told me about her dog, I went hunting for toys that were durable, nicely designed, and non-toxic — which, honestly, is so hard to find at the same time! I threw in a couple of small gifts for her too, like a tote bag and some cute bits and pieces, so both of them could share the fun.
Then more and more friends started asking for boxes 🎁. They said it saved them from spending ages picking quality items one by one. Since they knew how much I care about my own dogs, they trusted me to find the best for theirs too.
They loved that the toys were tough and looked good, but what they loved most was that each box came with a little surprise for them as well.
One day, while walking through a local market, I thought —
“What if this could be a real brand? Something that celebrates the happiness dogs bring to our lives — not for money, but for pure joy.”
And that’s how DumCutie was born —
from one happy dog, one box, and the wish to share that joy everywhere 💛.
Now we’re teaming up with dog adoption centres and rescue groups around Australia to celebrate new dog parents and their furry best mates 🏠. We’re also connecting with responsible, trustworthy local dog treat brands to create our ‘Local Favourite Snack 🦴’ selection — a way to support Aussie makers while giving dog families more healthy, creative options to enjoy together.
Because at the end of the day, there’s so much more to life than just making money.
DumCutie started from community love.
We’re here to keep spreading the fun, laughter, and connection between dogs and humans. 🐾💛
